A letter from the Pastor of DaySpring Church
Welcome to a year of adventure and growth! DaySpring Church’s primary mission is to take this generation on a journey in the Spirit. Our mission statement in a word is “SpiritLIFE!”. DaySpring School of Supernatural Ministry is therefore dedicated to taking people on a journey in the Spirit, to introducing them to the empowering presence of God through the Spirit and to encouraging personal transformation through spiritual revival.
Understanding grace (God’s empowering presence) is vital to all Christian life and ministry, and we feel that it is our mission to teach and activate grace in whatever ministry activity we engage. Grace must permeate our conscious and unconscious thinking. Grace can only be defined and understood in the context of the Holy Spirit. We feel that it is our job to prepare, train and equip the Church to bring the empowering grace of God to every place we are called.
DaySpring School of Supernatural Ministry is more than a school, it is a Holy Spirit journey into the realm of the Kingdom of God. It is a purposely-pursued heavenly adventure where no one dare travel without the Spirit. In this context, students will learn how to minister with power and naturally walk in God’s kingdom “with signs and wonders following”.
We are on the edge of the greatest move of the Spirit of God in human history. God is sending resources to help us. However, there remains a gap between what is and what should be. Part of that gap is you, and part is us! Together we can bridge that Kingdom gap. Together we can learn how to prophesy, how to minister healing and to bring good news to those who are broken.
You are invited, even challenged, to participate!
Yours for Kingdom adventure,
David Crabtree
Senior Pastor
DaySpring Church
A letter from the Director
Attending DaySpring School of Supernatural Ministry is an opportunity to discover and walk in the realms of heaven on earth. Like Jesus, we want to be naturally supernatural, knowing what is on the Father’s heart and walking it out in His empowerment.
We invite you to come on a journey with the Holy Spirit, to allow Him to effect transformation in your life and then see it flow to the community, to see the impossible become possible.
The school is an opportunity to be trained and equipped to walk in signs and wonders, a time to learn, walk under godly leadership and be trained to lead others. There is ample opportunity to gain insight and understanding from scripture and apply it practically, to worship extravagantly and to discover and develop gifts for the kingdom.
Come and join us in this journey of adventure!

First Year
The DSSM First Year program focuses on assimilating the core values of the Kingdom into the heart of the believer and establishing God’s royal identity in the mind of each student. The first year students receive the gifts of the Spirit and learn how to walk in the power of God.
This course is grounded both in teaching theory and encouraging application and experience. Students will participate in a variety of different learning methods that are practical and experiential. The First Year aims to train students in body, soul and spirit so that students are an effective conduit for the power of the Spirit. As well as class time, students will become involved in the life of the church through involvement in church ministries in two Sunday services per week. Students from other churches attending the School may choose to complete part of their church ministries service at their home church.
Syllabus
Outlined below is a list of the First Year core topics:
The Power of the Kingdom
Students will come to understand foundational concepts of Kingdom ministry, such as spiritual warfare and spiritual authority, the mission of the church, healing, deliverance and spiritual gifts. You will also learn to pursue the power of God and Kingdom ministry as a lifestyle.
The Ministry of Jesus
Students will study the life and ministry of Jesus in a way that will uncover keys of Kingdom ministry. A gospel that only tells what Jesus did falls short of the life available to us. The only gospel that will reach the world is one that actually does what Jesus did – and more! Jesus said that His followers will do what he did AND do even greater things. This subject will teach students to go after the greater things.
Challenges of Faith
This subject is designed to expand the limits of students and their expectations of what God will do through them, while providing them with a framework to help understand the journey of faith we are all on. At its core, this is a practical subject with practical objectives. We believe that God sets us up to succeed in each step of our lives and will “richly provide us with everything”. Learning to hear His voice and stepping out in faith is vital.
Process of Personal Transformation
In discovering a heart for and commitment to personal development, students will learn how to resolve personal conflict in a Spirit-empowered way, whilst demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit’s healing in their own lives. This subject includes undertaking the HeartStyles Indicator program, a personal development course developed with the vision and mission help people identify and destroy the deception of defensiveness (the works of the devil) in their lives so they can live the pattern of heaven on earth to continue the co-mission of Jesus.
Grace – God’s Empowering Presence
A life in the Spirit is also a life in Grace, and a life in Grace is necessarily a life in the Spirit. This course redefines “grace” from its traditional definition of “unmerited favour” into “God’s empowering presence.” A life of Grace means a life dependent, empowered and governed by the Spirit.
Ministry Training
Students will undertake both theoretical and practical training in different areas of Spirit-led ministry, including ministry in a church context, ministry in a New Age context and ministry and evangelism out in the community, as well as core training in healing, deliverance and prophetic ministry. This subject will involve receiving one-on-one training on the DaySpring Ministry Team serving both church services and conferences.

Students will be notified ahead of time as each outreach is scheduled.
Second Year
Second-Year is available to students who have completed the First Year course. If a student decides to continue, they will take a more “hands on” role in School leadership, primarily in the areas of pastoral care and small group leadership, while also being challenged and grown in deeper ways. Second Year Students will work more closely with the staff of DaySpring Church while also learning keys of successful leadership by mentoring First Year students and co-facilitating School events and expeditions.
Second Year students will also become involved with a specific ministry of DaySpring to focus on, allowing students to learn the fundamental elements of church and ministry work. Second Year will assist the leaders of that ministry, with the view to releasing them into leadership as the year progresses.
Students will be given opportunities to be strengthened and grown, overseen by DSSM staff and Interns committed to your success! This course is designed to enable students to become the leaders God wishes them to be. Students will learn mentoring, team building and conflict resolution skills and Grace-based leadership.
Syllabus
Outlined below is a list of the Second Year core topics:
Leadership Adventure (Advanced)
We will look at New Testament leadership gifts and models whilst exploring the qualities of effective leaders. Students will discover their own styles and be nurtured into spiritual leaders both in theory and practice.
Foundations of Grace II
This course goes deeper in exploring the subject of Grace, and redefines “grace” from it’s traditional “unmerited favour” into “God’s empowering presence”. Students will come out with deep foundations of grace in theology and everyday living.
Leadership Development
Students will receive one-on-one and group mentoring in the process of developing their leadership heart. Students will also study topics including honouring men and women of God, kingdom promotion, submission to authority, servant-hearted leadership and accountability.
Pastoral Care
Students are given the opportunity to minister pastorally by being given a degree oversight with the First Year Students. This includes facilitating small groups, organising and co-leading outreaches and missions trips, prayer ministry and mentoring as well as general leadership.
Ministry Elective(s)
Students are given first-hand experience of the inner workings of a church, and the ability to explore their own giftings and passions by ministering supernaturally in an area of church life of their choice. Students will be coached and developed as they train in leadership and gradually released into increasing responsibility throughout the year.
School Schedule
The Second Year schedule is similar to the First-Year Schedule, with primary classes held on Wednesdays. It includes involvement in all weekend services plus all conferences and events.
A typical week for Second Year students would be as follows:
Wednesdays:
5:30pm – 6:30pm Social Time & Supper (Optional)

Australia. Students will be notified ahead of time as each outreach is
scheduled.
Additionally, Second Year students’ ministry involvement
will involve days or nights outside of primary class time, depending on
the ministry area selected.
Third Year
DSSM Third Year is run as an Internship program, working closely with a leader and department of DaySpring Church. The Third Year program is tailored individually to each Intern and will include pastoral oversight, coaching, leadership training (including sessions with our Senior Leadership Team) and regular times with other Interns.
Internships provide an opportunity to experience the Kingdom culture of leadership first hand. Our program is tailored to meet both the interns calling and the ministry of the person for whom they will intern. In addition to time spent with one’s leader and learning ministry by serving, it will include individual pastoral oversight, coaching, leadership training (including some sessions with our Senior Leadership team) and regular time with other interns to build relationship.
Internships generally center on the five-fold ministry, as well as youth and young adults, children, worship, prayer, missions, etc. Although Third Year is primarily intended for those considering career ministry in the church, we also encourage those who feel a call to leadership in other areas of society to pursue this option.
Applicants must have completed the First and Second Years of the DaySpring School of the Supernatural.
All applicants must have consistently demonstrated a high standard of personal integrity, character and motivation. Internships will be served at DaySpring Church.

Exploring Supernatural Ministry
Exploring Supernatural Ministry: A DVD Course (or ESM) is a course offered by the DaySpring School of Supernatural Ministry. It is available to anyone with a heart to pursue the supernatural! This is a training program offered as a series of modules, using teaching from Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry , in Redding USA.
Anyone can do ESM! The teaching sessions run in conjunction with NSW School Terms and are designed to be practical, interactive and taught in community. They are aimed at empowering students to apply what they are learning to their daily lives – this is all about life in the Kingdom!
ESM runs both a ‘first year’ (known as ‘Stage One’) and ‘second year’ (‘Stage Two’) program. Both stages consist of a series of 7 modules taught over the course of 10 months. Each module is 4 sessions in length, taught 1 night per week. The course is DVD-based, with the teaching material coming directly from Bethel Church. Each 4-week module will also include small group discussion and practical activation, life application, prophetic input, worship and individual development.
In 2010, ESM will be offering Stage One modules running on Monday nights, and Stage Two modules running on Tuesday nights. Stage Two consists of a further series of modules available to students who have previously completed any module from the first stage.
With both stages, there are 2 options in undertaking this course. The first is to sign up for the Full Program, which enables students to complete 7 modules over the course of 10 months. Alternatively, students can elect to sign up for individual modules. With this option, students may attend as many or as few modules as they wish. The Full Program is 28 sessions in total. Students who choose individual modules will attend 4 sessions per module selected. Please note that some modules carry a pre-requisite requirement.
